Why Music Drives Me
With a lifelong dedication to music and a robust background in product strategy, I am excited to apply for the Senior Product Manager - Creator position at SoundCloud. Having earned my Bachelor’s in opera performance and songwriting, I later found my voice in punk rock music, playing in bands, and eventually launching an electronic solo project. Along the way, I became fascinated by how technology could empower artists, which led me to pivot from performing to building tools that amplify creative voices.
From getting my Master’s in Contemporary Performance, Production, and Music Technology, to directing She Knows Tech (2021-2022), to teaching music production with We Make Noise, a non profit that aims to advance global gender equality, I’ve dedicated myself to bridging gaps in the industry and fostering inclusivity. Now, on Meta’s Creative Audio team, I work at the intersection of music and technology, creating systems that connect artists and audiences. Platforms like SoundCloud embody this mission, and I’m passionate about continuing to innovate and elevate artists globally. Fan Interaction: Develop tools that deepen artist-fan relationships, such as gamified engagement features or direct messaging options for superfans, creating new pathways for connection and loyalty.
Data-Driven Insights: Leverage SoundCloud’s vast data to provide artists with actionable insights on fan-powered royalties, audience demographics, and promotion effectiveness, enabling informed decision-making and career growth.
